Children, Youth & Family Health & Wellness

Our Children, Youth & Family Health & Wellness Program focuses on improving timely access to primary care, counselling, and pediatric services as well as specialized health and wellness education and programming ranging from after school programs, parental support, early years services, youth outreach, Indigenous youth and family programs, 2SLGBTQI care, and much more. Members of our Children, Youth & Family Health &Wellness Team are also able to provide support in navigating referrals to other health and social supports offered by Durham Community Health Centre and partner agencies/providers.

Children, Youth & Family Clinic (CYFC)

A central fixture of our Children, Youth & Family Health & Wellness Program is our Children, Youth & Family Clinic (CYFC) which consists a fulltime Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Therapists, and Medical Secretary whose goals are to ensure that timely and consistent medical services are provided by relevant care providers and, when necessary, they can help facilitate prompt referrals to specialized services both within DCHC and to specialists throughout Durham Region.
